Hi,

Looking for some advice on where to find 1/8th wide belts. I have an old Machinex lathe/mill with the standard 1/4" wide V-belt and a 1/8" V-belt. I have gone to every local (British Columbia, Canada) sewing machine store and they just have 1/4 inch wide V-belts.

Any ideas where to get these narrow belts. I tried the standard O-ring for a belt and it was too stretchy. Are the urethane O-ring belts better?

I thought about machining the pulleys to accept a 1/4" belt but I think the radius would be too tight.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Especially since my lathe is down right now.
