Before sending a job, are you able to tell VCP
what the cutting order is in a given object(s)? See Pic
or does it decide what to do.

I work with Enroute 3/5 so Im use to that setup.
The ordering they have is Rows / Columns / in~out / out~in / Manual
I cannot do the trial because of XP and issues. Wont install even w/ SP3.

Also when it is doing a pocket job, does it work its way through
an area mid-way and then go to another area and so on like it's forgetting
something and then finally finishes the job? Trying to avoid the
almost 10x cost for Enroute.

Sorry for the dopey Q, it's just one of those quirks when something
is routing/engraving and the machine does its own thing unexpected.

I'll try the VCP trial when I get to work but wont be till next week.

The simple answer, that there is no simple answer.
You really need to play with the demo and see if it will do what you need.

You do not get these options in V Carve Pro. The only option you get is the order that you select the vectors.

I did a quick test to match your sample. The one on the left were all selected together. The one on the right were selected in order to match your sample.

You'll probably find that this will depend on exactly what you are doing. If you are doing pockets with multiple areas, the best way might be to do them individually, rather than in one operation containing multiple pockets.

I managed a Trial of VCP, now a few Q's if you or someone else may answer if poss.

Not crazy for overall use of it, but again it's not Enroute.

Would I be able to send "selected" layers separately? Say 3 files
Like: 01_holes.crv 02_pocket.crv 03_cutout.crv

Or is this one file?

Sucks... I wont be getting my machine for a while so I dont know
what to expect in the meantime.

OK, well V-Carve isnt for me and I'll go the Enroute route.

I can select any given toolpathed object and setup for output individually.
It seems that the ToolPaths in VC are locked and send as a whole.
Whereas I can go back into Enroute toolpath and change the depth to say
on one object or add a Width cut to them. Everything is its own.

So now I can use Enroute on multiple puters, im good. End of story and thanks for your help Ger21
