    Part counter

When working with the bar puller on the lathe using the parts counter ( O103 repeat and endrepeat) and you have to reset to do some minor changes to the program, is there a way to know how many parts are machined and start the program to continue where I stopped it.

If I programmed 10 parts and stopped the program after 5 parts, can I start the program and tell pathpilot, you already made 5 parts, make the reamaining 5 parts.

    Hope my question makes sense,

    Jeff

    Re: Part counter

In a recent Tormach video Daniel Rogge talked about using one of the extra axis DROs on the mill as a parts counter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NYWa-bg6YI

Perhaps you could make that approach work on a lathe. Set the DRO to the number of parts you want and decrement to 0. It might be a clean way of adapting to different bar lengths.
