    Fanuc 15T Backup Information

Hi there, I wonder if anyone can help me. I am taking a backup of my CNC lathe and already have the parameters. Is there a way I can output the diagnosis pages. I remember a long time ago on another control and machine (Fanuc OT) there was a sequence of button presses to output the diagnostic pages along with the parameters. Is this the case with ths control or do I need to write them all down by hand? Thaks in advance.

Why do you want to output the diagnostics? they change constantly or depend on machine function.

I'm sorry I've made a mistake. It's the PMC Parameters and Ladder I want to save. When I go to the PMC side there is no I/O softkey option to get to the Write/Read page. Is this protected by keep relay or something?

It depends on what PMC card configuration you have, The PMC may not be volatile if it is written in EEprom.
Was the intention of saving for back up purposes?

Yes, that's the intention. Do I not need to do it?

If you have a Yellow Cassette sticking out of one of the Base cards, then there is eeproms inside, the machine only uses these to load into memory at power-on time.
You could actually remove the cassette, after power up and run, but as soon as you power down you lose the PMC. If you do not have the yellow cassette then you could have battery backed up ROM, but doubtfull.

    Sorry guys,
What if the system has a yellow box" cassette" and there are also batteries in the cabinet, than where would the software be stored ?

What happens if these batteries are dead ? which data will be lost system or parameters ?

On a 15A control you will lose CNC parameters, Programs including 9000, offsets, Macros, pitch error, PMC parameters( Timers, Counters, Keep Relays, Data). You will not lose the Ladder program.
