Question Haas EC-630 Current Pallet Parameter

    Hi All,

We have a 2008 Haas EC-630 with a pallet changer and are trying to locate the parameter macro variable which will tell us what pallet is currently in the machine.
This way we can have a different active offset depending on which pallet is in the machine.

Called our local HFO but they were little help.

    Many thanks!

    Chris

You are looking for a macro variable and not a parameter. Look in your manual for the variables associated with the pallet changer.

See page 97, #3028 indicates the number of pallet loaded on receiver.

Also, your machine should have a pallet schedule screen under current commands which shows what pallet is loaded and there you can also assign a program to each pallet.

Since you fixed Chris up nicely, I have a curiosity question: The programs you assign to individual pallets; Can they be on a thumb drive or do they have to be in memory?

Matt, as long as you're calling up the right macros per pallets in your program the machine look for your values its saved. Under those variables. If someone changes the values...well then thats another issue itself unless you lock the OP station to lockout the regular button pushers that dont know much about the machine

To my knowledge, the machine is set to look at machine memory to find the programs set in pallet scheduler. It's been a while since I have messed with the scheduler, so it is possible things may have changed though, especially with some of the newer software.

These instructions do not mention a program directory or directory source, so at this point I will stand by initial thoughts and say no, programs will need to be loaded into machine memory in order to run in the scheduler.
