Will GSimple be ported to linux?

I would love to, since I am a linux fan, but it is a lot of job and it is has not been planned - so it will not be ported in the forseen future. Sorry

PS. Meanwhile version 2.00 is ready and will be available for downloading in the next days at www.gsimple.eu (of caurse for free)

I use GSimple in INCH not MM.
when you open a page sometimes half the numbers are set to MM.
Will the bugs be fixed in the new version?

The new version (2.00) is out. Several bugs have been fixed - I hope the one you are speaking about too.

I have Gsimple running in linux with wine but you have to do a manual install. When you run the install script with wine it builds the folders but does not unpack everything. Just install on a windows machine and then copy the contents of the c:gsimple folder and put it in /home/user/.wine/c:/gimple

I have just started using it but it appears to be working fine.

    GSimple and Wine/Linux

"I have Gsimple running in linux with wine..."

Does the side tool bar appear? On my PC running Suse Linux 10.0 Wine does not support the side tool bar and it is missing.

...but you have to do a manual install

I will make in the next days a manual-install section on the web -a zip file with all the files and an installation note (readme.txt)

    Thanks troy1337

And a note for users using inch mode: I am completely reviewing the concept (now Gsimple is using internally mm). In the new version there is going to be a user-unit (unfortunatelly selectable only through editing the configuration file) and gsimple will only recalculate the tool-data. I hope this will resolve the many problems it has in inch (imperial units) mode. The new version will be ready in about 2~3 weeks.

    g-simple heidenhain

    Hi,

I'm also interested to build code for Heidenhain (tnc 151).

I'm trying to get my cfg file running, but no luck.

Heidi needs tool definition before use (G99).

Any help? Maybe someone did this?

    Greetings
    Pawel.
