Have a 4 axis controller but only use 3. It's an older control box and support @ xylotex tells me they don't make the chips for these boxes anymore. He's waiting for new parts in maybe mid July to have some newer controllers made and have available.
I'd really like to get this up and running again before then if possible.
I know I should upgrade everything but don't have time right now to mess with it. I need to just get back running for now.
The machine is running on Mach 2.
2 of the axis still work but a wire broke going to the stepper during operation on the one now it doesn't. (my stupid fault)
It's a custom built turning machine on a table saw base that turns squares into tapered rounds.
It uses the X Y and the A axis off the board. In Mach, the A axis is set up to read as the spindle and is programmable through mach with the spindle function. This is the axis that quit working on me. Test on the stepper is fine so it is the board.
Z axis has never been hooked up to a stepper. I wrote a test program with some Z commands and it doesn't seem to want to move. (?)
Went in and looked and it seems to be enabled in the mach setting but I can't get it to move at all.
Anyone have knowledge about these that would be able to repair and/or get this back up running. Give me a price and I'll send it to you for repair if you have the knowledge and time. It would be greatly appreciated.
