Hi Guys

I have had mach3 for about 5 years or so. I had a computer that stopped working I was using windows xp so I decided to run windows 10 on a new computer. the new computer had to have a parallel port installed on it. I loaded mach 3 onto the new computer. I then had the mach3 file ported from my old hard drive to the new computer and copied all the files to the new computer mach 3 file. All my files and setting are now visible including backlash etc.

I start mach 3 turn my computer on load the mach3 and the machine will not move nor will it register the axis toggles. I stuck at this point. I checked device manager to see if the port was installed correctly and it appears to be(no red or yellow markings showing)

Any suggestions.

Mach3 can not use the parallel port in Windows 10 (Actually, Windows 8 or above).
If you need to use Windows 10, then you'll need to purchase an external USB or ethernet motion controller.

Can the resolution for your 2010 program be set fro 800x600 if not I got to get another video card

You can set Mach3 to Auto Screen Enlarge, but it won't look very good. It really should be run at 1024x768.

You can't copy and paste Mach3 from old pc to new pc.
You must be install Mach3 to your pc.

How does vista work with mach3

I built another computer with windows 7 on it and loaded mach 3 and copied and pasted my old mach3 setting onto the new computer. I see all my changes that I made and saved on mach3 such as nema mill profile and my back lash settings stc. I still cant get my machine to jog yet. no errors showing. Anything I can try.
