    Mori seiki NV4000 DCG

    PLEASE HELP. I have Mori Seiki NV4000 DCG with Fanuc 18i controls. It will not read the G1 line in the program. It does however read G0G90G59 X0Y0; Z.1M80; but stops at the G1 Z-.150 F10.; line.Any help you could give me will be very much appreciated.I even try G1 G98 Z-.150 F10.;

    Some thoughts:

Is the spindle running? I know on the Doosan machines I used to work with there was an M-code that allowed the machine to feed with the spindle not turning.

    Is there an alarm?

Are you putting a decimal at the end of the F10.? If it's just F10 you could be feeding at 0.001 IPM.

Maybe it's reading ahead and something in the folllowing blocks is causing it to stop.

    Hi,

    Line G0G90G59 X0Y0; Z.1M80, ..........M80........?
    Change M80 to M08 and I think it's solved.

M80 turns the flood coolant on.M8 turns the spindle coolant on. I use M80 in all in all programs

Insert G98 in a previous line.
Make sure to put a decimal in F value.
    Does G0 work?
    Axis lock?
    Feed override 0%?

I believe G98 is for specifying canned cycle return to initial Z on his mill... don't think that's his problem. Did you mean G94 (feed per minute)?

Press the SYSTEM function button then press the Diagnostic soft key. While in this state does any of the bits turn on?

    My mistake.
G94 for mill and G98 for lathe.
This, however, may not be the issue.

It was a chip under pellet table. It will usually gives pellet seating alarm, but did not this time.Indexed pellet manually and cleaned the table post and under the tables. Now it runs fine.Thank you all for your time
