    Learn from everyone.

well I guess I could say thanks, but you did not really give me anything.

The faster I get this machine up the quicker I can quit this yet another in a long line of pointless jobs. But I guess I will have to fumble through it. Thanks!

well most the hardware I already have ordered.
I decided to use stepper motors.
1200 Oz units for X and y Axis from kelinginc.net
497 Oz units for Z axis from xylotex.com

The controller will be hobbycnc.com kit.

I was more interested in how you mounted your motors and such.

well thought I would update as I got my hobbycnc kit in yesterday and put it togeather too.
Still have to order case and transformer though. will be doing that tomorrow.

Well I got the motors in, but I did not pay attention and ordered the 4 wire units instead of the 8 wires I needed.

Well I finally got back to being able to work on this. Yes it has literally been that long since my last post about this conversion.

Now that I finally had time that my jeep did not require fixing, and I had some cash I got to making some parts for the conversion.

I am not sure if I said this yet but I did decide on some 1200 or so In/Oz motors for X & Y and a 600 or so In / Oz motor for the Z.

What I decided to do was just hook them straight to the axis for now. I know I will lose some speed but right now I am looking for getting this going very quickly.

I am wondering from people that did the RF31 conversion how did you get the head from being less mobile, meaning not wanting to spin 360*?
