Just wondering.
Do the newer versions of mastercam allow you to reverse post?

The option of the standard fanuc reverse post went away as of the start of the X series of Mastercam.

I wonder why. I find it to be an invaluable feature.

The main issue was making reverse posts for all different controls. the one they had was a generic Faunc. it really was not used that much also. but I know for some back in the day. it was a way of seeing what some old code they found did. some customers used it to re post for another machine when they could not find there MC file.

With tool like backplot of Code in CIMCO's professional editor these days takes care of that.you can save you backplot center of line code into mastercam after save as DXF and brin into Mastercam. just like the old days.
