    Looking for recommendations please ?

    Hi Guys .
Im looking at buying a used vmc from the US .
Problem is im in South Africa .
I want to fly over to the US for a few days and have a look at a few machines from a few suppliers .
Ive been in contact with a company called MachineStation (CA)
Are there a few other used machine tool companies in the area that i could visit aswell ?

Are there any other areas that you guys would recommend rather ?
Sounds crazy but i want to see as much as i can in as little time as possible so any help in this regard would be appreciated .

    Thanks

I can't give you a specific recommendation on dealers to see. I would recommend flying into Ontario, rather than LAX if possible. Much easier to get in and out of. And is only about 10 miles from Chino.

Here is a few dealers from Google

Just call up Hass and ask to see the repo list.
You will get known machine quality even used.
Wow shipping to South Africa !! $$
How about contracting the CNC and ship machined parts?

    Thanks Bostosh .
Haas isnt a great idea for me as i doubt Haas South Africa would want to repair a "grey" machine and i dont think there are many private Haas repair guys in this neck of the woods .
Fanuc South Africa would most likely repair fanuc parts since they are not Machine specific if that makes sense and besides there are a few guys here that can repair fanuc components .

Shipping ....well yes it might cost a few $$ or Rands in my case but ill still be better off flying to the states buying a machine and shipping to here than buying a machine here.
I have 7 machines here already so to contract a machine and ship the work wont work as im looking to compliment my shop and i think customers would prefer to see machines in my shop anyway , besides with our lovely exchange rate i doubt that would be near profitable .
