    Speed changes?

How do I go about speed changes other than the up/down arrows on the touch pad?

My Sx3 currently only goes from 80-1500 based on the LCD Tach on the head.

    Thanks in advance,
    Britt

    Red face speed

Is your spendal hooked to the controller?
If so then you place an S80 for the slowest then as your code goes along and you want to change the speed put an S with the speed you want in a line or retract dwell and S for a speed change out of the material
M(AND THE NUMBER YOU USE TO TURN ON THE SPENDAL)S1000 (THESE 2 LINES ARE IN THE PROGRAMS START CODE)
    G0Z-1
    G01X12Y16F80
    G0Z.250S1500
    G01Z-1F30
    G01X-12Y-12F60
Your spendal tach needs to be hooked up as well?
This is just an example of many different ways.

Hope it's all hooked up so you can get what you want
    gooood luck.

Havn't got it hooked to the computer (connection issues I hope to resolve within a couple days).

I thought that the machine itself was supposed to go up to 3600 spindle speed since all the new ones are supposed to have the spindle upgrade.

Mine doesn't even hit the 1750 rpm stated without the upgrade.

Is the entire spindle speed controlled by the software/computer? shouldn't the machine be able to do it on it's own using the controls on the front of the head?

You already said it would change speed on the machine?
I thought you wanted to speed it up or slow it down, like after a tool change?:rainfro:

i guess it would be a good IDEA to get it hooked up and see what you have first?

I guess next you're going to suggest I read the manual?

What's the fun in that when you have a new machine with so many buttons to push on it? :devious:

Thanks for the pointers man... much appreciated.
