    "DUAL" Female Thread

    Hello everyone.

I am working on a project that requires a DUAL Female thread at each end of the shaft.

Meaning, both right Hand and Left hand bolts will screw into it.

I know its possible as there is a components that uses this type of thread already i just down know if it has special name or how to draw it or manufacture it.

I have searched online high and low but can not find any information about this kind of thread.

I have seen it and can only describe it as a thread that looks like its made out of many scalops and the thread is not continues, so has many breaks in it.

Here is a link to the product that uses DUAL thread, may be it'll help.

Just thread-mill the required left and right hand threads, with an optional cleanup of the first one after cutting the second.
