Kenny,
I also just got the Compact 5 CNC.
To move the axis (I believe you mean) just put the machine in 'manual mode' either by pushing the rocker switch to 'manual' or by pushing the H/C button on the far right (will toggle from manual to CNC) then push the -X +X or the -Z or +Z. To go fast push (and Hold) the ~ button that's above the X & Z keys.
I haven't figured out the origin for sure yet, I'm working on that one, but what the manual says is to enter a code of G92 with values for X & Z. It may work but so far I haven't figured that one out.
I think you enter a code to go to an 'absolute position' from the G92 and then work everthing from there in 'relative'.
I'll be trying that later today or tomorrow.
I got this info from http://www.d-and-d.com/EMCO/MANUAL/index.html and I found this site through the Yahoo group Emco_cnc_users
Good Luck and let me know if you have any good results,
Steve
I just bought a Compact 5 CNC and I am trying to figure this out also. Usually you can set a zero and it stays but every time I come out of the programming mode the X and Z zeros are reset.
Any insight would be great.
