so, i am theoretically able to get a 59 reissue to scan. tis not a cost free endeavour though. in will cost something in the range of about $400-500 cdn to pull it off. this would deliver an obj file (high res mesh) of the top, outline, and neck back and headstock shape and angle. it will show indents where the pickup routs and mounting hardware is too, but those will be taped up so youll get no details.
this if course is a reissue, not a "real" '59, so i dont know if people will be satisfied with it. scanning a real 59 is out of the question - at least by me.
OK...I am In, if others are willing to contribute, and I am also willing to do all the work to bring the model to a NURB or polygon version, do all the conversions etc....
OK, so here is our chance....anyone else?

Hi guys
Just a quick message be patient as I am attempting to work things out at the moment.
Anyone has a cad drawing with all the pieces???
i saw some 3d model..but i cannot open the,m...and blueprint?
Even an EPS would be fine.
Hi everyone.
This is my model.
That I have to share a LP top that looks nice.
The ones on previous posts are vintage correct, measures and details.
Hi guys
Just to let you know I might be able to gett a hold of some vintage parts as well.
Hey that would be great as well!
For those, like for example the pickguard, just place it on a regular flat bed scanner, then use a caliper to measure the dimensions.
Send the image over, and I would be more than glad to create the model, and make it available on as many file formats as possible....
OK, now this thing is starting to snowball! Can't wait to get started!
GOOD JOB SLPD!

Hey Im almost done with my guitar. I used the 59 lp file found here but i didnt feel like i was up to making the neck just yet, so i got a cheap neck from cko auctons (ebay) and made it a bolt on, my wife liked the spiral machining marks on the top wood so i left them
on I know i made a lot of messups on this one but live and learn eh! the top is sapele wood?
and the bottom is poplar
