    Fenner belt on pcnc 440?

Is this possible? What belt exactly would I need to buy? I have zero experience with belts like this, I've just heard good things about their vibration reduction and I seem to have a bit of vibration going on with the stock belt...

Re: Fenner belt on pcnc 440?

    The 1100-3 uses a V belt, B series.

I used one because I had severe vibration and the belt was causing part of it, the motor fan was causing most of it though. I have had the Fenner belt on the machine for about 4 years now and it doesnt make noise anymore, if adjusted too tight it will be noisy.

The 770 uses a timing/cog type belt, no idea what the 440 uses??

Here's a link to the exact one: http://beltpalace.com/170j4.html

I'd love to manage the vibration caused by the belt on my 440. Is there any alternative belts that may work for this cross section type?

(Also another oddball question... I noticed that the left pivoting side of my spindle motor mount was not tightened down when it arrived. Is this side supposed to be locked down like the right side or should it remain free?)
