    wasteboard fixation over baseboard

    Hi
I would like to know how do you generally fix the waste board, over the baseboard of the cnc ?
Like i plan to put a mdf sheet as a base board, then fixe T-Slot track on top. And then inbetween those, a 3/4in mdf sheet in section used as a waste board. I wonder if i put glue, it will bond too well..
Or do i drill hole in wasteboard and put some plastic screw with wingnut in the baseboard...

    thanks for the tips

Im not sure i follow your use of the T Slots.

In any event it depends a great deal how you intend to use the machine and your work patterns. Id lean towards glued on waste boards, if we are talking the entire table, but that shouldn't mean anything to you.

Idea I got from the legendary MadVac... just glue your spoilboard down. When it gets too "cut up," simply Bondo and resurface.

If you have room screw them in from below. Though, the table would never be as stiff as if you just glued it together, regardless of how many screws you use.

Glue. Gradually use up the sacrificial board, resurfacing when needed. When it gets thin, just glue another one on top.

This is what I do...still on my first board though.
