cnc routing aluminum - z axes moves down

Trying for the first time to router some 1/8" aluminum on my CNC router I built. Using Mach3 for g-code.

When routing the aluminum it will go fine for about 5 inches then the z axis will move downward when its cutting. I am using an upcut bit.

    Any suggestions?

    thanks
