Well. I dunno how you managed that? 6mm works from here.

I guess that's what happens when people who don't write software, write software??
    You tried it again?

    Post number 2.

I'd wear some protective clothing though. Sounds like that piece of software has a mind of it's own.

BTW. The belt drive calcs are wrong, as we just proved here. Not by a lot, but enough to be annoying.

in this case your driving the x axis with a belt, all you need to know is the what pitch belt you have, there are only so many, english belts have pitches like .375,.500,thats the tooth to tooth distance at the pitch diameter,if you have a 26 t pulley, one full turn will give you a move of 26 times the belts pitch,if your belt pitch is .375 like mine, one turn it would move 26 x .375
= 9.750,if your steppers are 1.8 degrees,200 steps, than 200 steps would give you 9.750 travel,so thats 20.5128 steps for 1 inch in the mach tuning,if your using english like me,thickness of belt make no differnce since its all calculated at the pitch daimeter

Man.... I'm never gonna get to bed at this rate.

Using a pulley with 26 teeth * 5mm pitch should give 130mm travel, for a whole revolution.

    But..... It doesn't.
    it's 130.0619mm

That extra bit was annoying me and I couldn't find it. My machine was always comming up short, just fractionally. Hopefully I'm good now.

Argggh. I didn't read your post properly. I see you did actually say:
the tooth to tooth distance at the pitch diameter
    Sorry. You are indeed correct.

Well I think this thread is flogged to death now.
I'm going to bed.. I think?

OK. If you haven't found it yet, you can get it here:

    Hope that link works.

One day when I'm really bored, I might even fix the beltdrive calcs.
