    Divide work offset in half?

I've been searching for days now and can't seem to find it. How do I divide work offset by 2 to find the center? I can find all kinds of posts saying that pathpilot can do it, but they are all why can't XYZ software divide by 2 like pathpilot does. walking over to my toolbox for a calculator seems dumb for such a trivial thing that it should be able to do and to top it off I just ruined a part by typing it in wrong. Thanks

If you mean finding the center of a piece.
Zero the DRO on side and move to the other side then type /2 in the DRO.

Yea that is what I was looking for. Now I feel extra dumb because I tried that. Turns out my / key on the number pad doesn't work. Thanks a lot, got it working now!!!!

It's not always easy to get that " / " symbol at the end of the field you're trying to change. Whenever I click in either the X or Y field, it highlights the entire box, so I have to arrow over to make sure I'm at the end of the number before typing " /2 ".

Actually, even if the entire box is highlighted, you can still type /2 and hit enter and it works !

I never realized that. I was always afraid of messing up my offset, but I'll be taking a look at this closer the next time I do it. Thanks!

I believe this is a generalizable option; that is, one can add, subtract, multiply, divide by using the correct symbol and any number.

You should check out the Tormach PathPilot YouTube videos, there's lots of useful information and great tips.
The math functions are first explained here (starting at 2:40):
