Something maybe 2ft by 4ft size table and well built with precision for great looking carves. Under $10,000
Wood mostly Im thinking. Is the The CNC Routerparts Benchtop any good or maybe the
Legacy CNC machines like the Maverick.

If there is a Rockler woodworking store in your area, they may have several models for you to look at. The store near me always has 3-4 models in stock.
They may even have live demos. Some of the smaller ones start around $2K, but most are in the $4-6K range.
There is also a Woodcraft in my town, but I have only seen one small CNC router there.

I think the CNCRP Pro machines are better than the Legacy, mainly due to the linear rails.
A Camaster Stinger may be a step up from there.
