    K40 with AWC708c lite DSP not cutting

    The machine had a previous owner who decked it out with new components. I’ve just got it up and running. It works on and off. For instance, i set it up to run a basic square shape as a test. It engraved as expected into 3mm plywood. But any other design I send over to the machine via LaserCAD just won’t want to cut / engrave. The display reads “working” or “pause 25%” and the image on the display where it would normally trace the shape as it cuts does nothing. Images are sent from coreldraw with a hairline stroke to lasercad, then downloaded to the controller for cutting.

    Whats going on?! Anyone else ever had / heard of this?

    I Figured it out...kinda. For some reason it’s very sensitive to where I place my substrate on the bed. Playing around with that seems to work!
