    Clarify me about ENABLE

I am building a new cnc mill using UCCNC, UC300ETH, stepper motor 1700 oz in, ST-V2 BOB. I am a bit confused on ENABLE. On pic attached, ENA + and ENA - from DM860A driver are not connected to anything on BOB, is it OK? If ENA+ and ENA - not used, why they make them available on driver. On some other wiring pics I saw on DM 860 A driver, ENA + is connected to +5 VDC and ENA - is connected to ENA on BOB.

So what is your recommendation on this matter ? Connected or not connected the ENA.

    Attachment 385718

On this BOB, I have not installed E-stop, limit switch and probes, should we have the terminals on E-stop, limit switch and probes be connected to NC switch in order the BOB to work..

    Re: Clarify me about ENABLE

The drives are enabled by default with no connections.

It's up to you whether you want to use them or not.

    Re: Clarify me about ENABLE

    Thanks for the info.

If I do not want to use USB 5V, but I have external 5V PSU, can I connect external 5V PSU to terminal PC5V on the BOB (there are 2 terminal PC5V on the bottom right corner BOB)
