    lathe that I will use for a buld project

    I like to know what lathe that every one started out with before converting to and CNC I'm not looking for CNC lathe as looking to convert
    Its going to be a big project an hoping to give up the smokes on the way

    First, you don't need to ask your question in more than one place. Folks will see it.
    I started with a little Grizzly 7x14. it was cheaper to buy a lathe for machining and putting threads on the screw ends on one of my first CNC router builds than the machine shop wanted to charge me to do it. Plus I'd never had a lathe, so great learning experience. Eventually sold it and bought a bigger lathe.

    The cost of that lave to be sent to Australia is to much for my pocket. Does anyone know another one and I can buy in Australia
