    Wincnc or V carve pro

Been reading here and there and i'm going to fire up my router master space saver 52 here shortly and i know it has Wincnc on it. i already have and been useing vcarve pro and its ok so far, i mean i'm still learning it! Wincnc sounds like a pain ? if i can figure out how to hook up the power supply to the router i can find out...anyways i like vcarve pro 9.0 any advice would be great. thanks

    What is your question?
WinCNC is the control software, and V Carve Pro is the CAD/CAM software.

You use both, as they do two different things.
V Carve Pro creates the g-code.
WinCNC reads the g-code and controls the machine.

Re: Wincnc or V carve pro

Well i'm not sure now.. i thought if i install vcarve pro 9.0 and do a project like i do on my smaller iconic machine after setting it up to carve it would just carve.. so the wincnc is what runs the router master. so when i make a bitmap to vector and size it and set the tool, the wincnc takes it from there ? am i thinking this all wrong ? look i just been carving for a year now and started out with the oliver 1013 and got the iconic 2015 and working it through vcarve pro 9.0, this 4x10 router master 52 is a differant animal.. i can't just insert the fd and away i go i know, i need to have the computer hooked up to it to work it and the wincnc just threw me, but if they work together i guess i'll find out, it will work or it will not ? still learning...
