I did not go for the touch screen. I ran one on my Hurco KMB1 (Mach 3 retrofit) for a couple years. I even created some custom screens sets specifically to take advantage of a touch screen. In the end I found it was messy and just went back to a track ball and added an MPG on that machine. I did get the Tormach PathPilot jog control, but have been rethinking that a little. I've been running an MPG for a couple years and I'm starting to wonder how difficult it would be to get an iMach P1AS Vista style MPG to work on PathPilot instead. They are supported on regular LinuxCNC systems. I'm already thinking about buying more of them for my little high speed machines. I find them really quick to touch off a part or zero to a tool height setter. I just leave jog at 40% and step at .0005" and I get there pretty quick first try.

I got a shipping number on a new controller today. The process was pretty quick, but a little disjointed.
