Hello all.

Im lost in choosing a machine. I require a machine for low use custom furniture making, mostly cutting birch plywood (similar to opendesk).

Ive looked the following and would love your input:

Damen cnc kit - over 10k (abit pricy for my requirement)
CAUCAU cnc - good price but not convinced
Marchantdice machine - supermill desktop machine - best option however have mixed feeling on supplier after reading online.

My budget is around 8/10k euro. Im based in Malta so ideally machine would be from EU for easy shipping.

First, what Z do you need for the parts you want?

Im mainly looking for 200/300mm Z height which shall be cutting 18mm ply sheets. Basically creating stuff like this https://www.opendesk.cc/designs

I consider kits also but im afriad of setting this machine for accurate cuts.. also i do not have loads of time to stay tweaking etc on machine itself..

You don't need that much height if all you're doing is cutting plywood. The lower the gantry, the more rigid the machine, all other things being equal.
