As was announced earlier, our new MPG101B Pendant takes advantage of the open development aspect of MACH3 and offers a configurable 28 function hand held controller/pendant that has a unique dual axis proportional jog stick. It interfaces with MACH via 6 inputs of a high speed parallel port (port 2). The initial announcement stated the MPG101B was being released for our MP1000 line of Interface products (THC, Router[basic] and Spindle Speed). With the addition of our new Port2B card any PC with MACH3 and a 2nd parallel port can be used with the MPG101B.

For a limited time we will include a Port2B interface card with any New MPG101B ordered at the standard price of $169.95 for 1 cent!.


NOTE: Port2B needs a source of +5 volts at 150ma from a PC referenced source for MPG101B operation. Some Port 1 breakout cards have an Auxillary +5 supply that will drive the card or you can use the internal +5 of the PC.

Also available is a "voltage-tap" interface ($7.95 USD) that can be attached to the back of any PC with an empty slot and provides the +5 to run the Port2 card for pendant operation. It plugs into any spare power connector from the internal power supply and we furnish a cable for the PC power to Port2 connectors.

Port 2B card also has additonal opto isolated inputs and buffered outputs so all of the port 2 pins can be used, but it needs a plug-in satellite card (breakout) to access the extra inputs/outputs.

A separate +5 (separate ground) is needed only if the added opto isolated inputs and outputs are used.

The shipping version of the MPG101B has an improved jog-stick control. It now features an intergal button to allow axis swaps (XY to ZA) without taking your finger off the stick.

Does the shipping version have "proportional" spelled correctly?

Yep! There are also two versions. One for plasma/THC with the MP1000-THC and one for router/mill applications. Only difference is the front decal and which setup in config you choose.
