    Fanuc OM z axis crash

We have a leadwell MCV with Fanuc Om controller , The z Axis has had a major tool crash into the bed
Now no Axis will move .
The screen has no fault codes or alarms.
have checked the obvious solutions via the Diag screen ,
Every thing seems ok but cant move any of the axis .
Has any one any ideas how to rectify .
    appreciate any suggestion

There is usually a switch behind the turret .
If you crash the turret will move and close the switch.
Nothing will work until you straighten the turret.

If you go into parameters->diagnostic->700 and read off bit 5 what does it say. It's the one with 1 marked here "XX1XXXXX". Then same with 701 but bit 6 "X1XXXXXX". If the 700 one is active you can start looking for a interlock. If you want to know what interlock that are stopping you there are diagnostic parameters for it but check this first. It is described in the Fanuc maintenance manual GFZ-61395E/06.

Does the servo power on? How is your servo screen looking does it show load on the axis if you push one or have load on one of them? If not I’d start looking for something hardwired to the servo circuit. Weird if that was the case because they should have included that as an alarm/interlock.

When some Fanucs crash, there is a setting that must be enabled in order to allow you to move the machine. The concept was after a crash and inevitable motor slippage, it was an additional safety you had to bypass in order to move the machine. May have even been a parameter setting that releases the motor brake< I cant remember. Maybe this will jog someone's memory as for I can not remember the setting
