    eztrak problem

i have 3 axis eztrak, sem motors, recently the x axis has started jumping and motor running really hot , today i tried another motor and still same issue . after jogging axis the handle will almost oscillate , but when i stop with my hand it stays stationary until jogged again.

    any ideas?

You could turn down the gain but I think your problem is due to either a loose motor coupling/belt or a worn ball screw or its bearings. There is some backlash somewhere and the motor is over reacting because of it. Dave
