Hello everyone

We have a chiron with fanuc 18i controller, that auto reset the programme, it means that there's a programme processing and than suddently the programme stops and goes back to the start but machine dont move, it happend on all programmes, diffrent blocks, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day, sometimes 2 weeks without reset.
What i did is that i changed the reset button, so i plan to change the keyboard, anyone has seen similar issue?

Interesting problem. Do you get any alarms?
I suspect there is an intermittent machine input, such as limit switch, pressure switch that trigger this through the pmc.
Can you look at the event history?

Intrresting but annoying, i changed the keyboard but no changes, there's no alarm in history, it just stop and reset itself, because it never happend in the same block or the same position it make things very hard to analyse, i'm lost dont know where to start

I have never used it, but think that you can set trigger conditions to record upon an event. Without being there its hard to analyse. It could be a control issue, but can also come from the machine interface.

Never heard about the recording option, but that would ve useful, i cant think of anything but a cn issue, Those old machines makes ur life hard

It happened again and I noticed something today, the program reset but the spindle continue to rotate!
