Waiting to jump into the pp upgrade

I bought my dongle months ago but with all of the posts of problems I’ve been afraid to upgrade from 1.9.13 (which is working well for me)

Are most of the bugs worked out or shall I wait a little bit more?

    Thanks

Re: Waiting to jump into the pp upgrade

I had a little trouble installing it. After removing all USB devices (except the dongle) from the computer, it installed OK.

There is a bug for the conversational drilling operation on Rapidturn on version 2.0.4. As soon as I entered the tool number in the conversational drill panel, I got the error; “Could not convert string to float”. I had to go back to version 2.0.1. I am waiting for version 2.0.5. Hopefully it gets fixed.

There is new functionality in version 2. You have to decide if the new functionality is important enough to you to deal with any bugs. I was very interested in the lathe profiling in conversational. So I took the risk.

    Hi PP users

Just checking to see if pp 2.xxx is good to go. I’m still on 1.93 and have the dongle but waiting to made sure things are Rick solid before I upgrade.
    Thanks

I replaced my controller when I upgraded to 2.x. And I can't say how well the usb stick works "I have a usb also". The new controller is kept on current version with no problems. I Did demonstrated some pause in tool path problem that was quickly fixed by the very talented people working on this software. Other then that all else is rock solid for me anyway. These days I get pretty willy nilly with how I run code with no confusion and a great deal of operator freedom.
