    Same here.

'Have never used it, I've got threading jobs coming up for both Fanuc 5T and 0T. I think the command is different between these two controllers? (one block vrs. two block format)

LOL, you can Copy and Paste this by selecting the Text with your mouse then Hit Control "C"> Open Note Pad Hit Control V.

Then Save it as what ever you want.

    Cheers!!!!

I have to agree with you I use Note Pad for everything LOL. I guess you could say it is "Force of Habit"

I'm new on this website. I'm not sure how to read any reply (What to click to see them) and how to reply to one. Hope some will see this and give me some advice!
    Thanks,
    Jack

dcrace, you're a lifesaver! For the life of me I couldn't figure out what they wanted for this cycle from the programming manual. Thanks for explaining it!

I copied and pasted it into wordpad, and then printed it out, it's going to stay with my programming manual!

    TY!

I would try the one line format like I use on a 21T. It accepts both, but one line is faster to input and, as normal, successive spring passes or too shallow of passes usually results in chatter forming on long slender deep threads, especially.

    Example for 3/4-10 x 12" UNC 60deg. threads:

    {G76 X.6201 Z-12.0 K.06495 P2 I.003 D350 F.1;}

X= minor or root of thread determined by double depth subtracted from the major dia.

K= 1/2 double depth of thread (the radius value).

P= Cutting style. P2 alternates cuts to both sides of the thread. Leave P out and the machine defaults to P1 automatically...cutting in one direction that is.

I= taper move starts .003 larger at beginning of thread and tapers down to final X value in the back. Often messes people up while programming at machine because it's opposite of what you might think. To compensate for thread PD variance depending on machining conditions.

D= depth of first pass. Value in tenths... .035"

A= Angle of thread. Which I never use because the geometry relationships of X,K and F must be correct in the first place.
