how many hours is a lot?

What is considered low, med, and high machine hours when looking at a used machine? A medium size vertical like a Vf2 or Vf1

Can someone with experience please advise.

Just doing some math in my head like 8 hours a day for 250 days a year 2000 hours per year. I would consider that a lot of hours but I may be wrong.

    Thanks,
    joe V

i would say that 2000 hours a year is good as our new mini mill is only 10wks old and has already done nearly 700 hrs

You have to look at power on hours compared to feed cutting hours. Quite a difference.
