    write protect in macro input

    I want to edit macro variable input during write protect key is in OFF condition or removed from Fanuc Oi-TF model panel

    Some variables are read-only type. These cannot be edited.

    If I understand correctly your just trying to name the variable, I am not familiar with the Fanuc Oi-TF control but I do know that in other Fanuc controls you can set your data like this:

    in MDI mode you would write SETVN500[xxxxx];
    then hit cycle start.

    xxxx is whatever your going to name it

    I have tried SETVN500[ABCD] in MDI and executed but name is not changed and also there is no alarm message. My intention is to change [RAPID ST] as [STRAIGHT]

    Insert a semicolon (EOB) in the end, bring cursor to the first word, and then hit CYCLE START.

    I tried by typing SETVN500[ABCD]; as per your guidance still not working, this is my whatsup no. 9880716976 can i chat with you.

    Please check the syntax of SETVN in your manual (under macro-programming section). Maybe model F is a bit different.

    Fanuc Oi-TF model is executing SETVN500[ABCD]; properly- may be this variable 500 label is protected. I am using in Centerless grinding machine with Oi-TF controller. I dont know how to enable write
