Has anyone imported a CNC from China to Ontario, Canada?

I am looking to purchase a Quick K6100A CNC but I have never imported anything this big from CHINA.

Can anyone help give me an idea of what's involved or what to do?

Generally you have to go either through a Broker or Freight-forwarder in order to clear customs. Unless you have a local CBSA office and you can pick up the form (or on line) and fill it out yourself, you have to look up the commodity number that applies.
Large machinery usually ends up in a freight Co. bonded warehouse or the CBSA warehouse to await clearance.
I have always cleared my own.

If the port of entry is Vancouver for e.g. you may have to contact a bonded carrier to pick it up and deliver to its local bonded warehouse.

Is there any company I can contact that would take care of all this stuff for me? Or maybe that would be crazy expensive?
Is importing machinery yourself quite easy once you have done it before? Or is it quite the process?

Obviously I would like to do this as cheap as possible but also as simple as possible. But those things never go hand in hand hahaha.

Not sure about Canada, but I've heard of plenty of people in the US get stuck with unexpected bills in the $1000-$2000 range to get their machines out of customs.
Do a LOT of research.

What I would do is first contact the shipper and find out how and with who he is shipping the item, then contact a local broker and run it by him and see what he has to say.
Ask shipper to send you a copy of the waybill when shipped. make sure he adds your phone number on the invoice.
Once you get an answer from the shipper, contact a local bonded freight carrier trucking Co and find out what they recommend and charge..
If they say they can deliver to their local bonded warehouse,
You should then have the option of clearing your own if you wish, check to see where the nearest CBSA office is.
Download a copy of the B3 and check out the volumes of commodity numbers. CNC should fall in around chapter 84 - 85.
It should all be on line.

The Chinese CNC company is telling me they can ship the CNC by sea freight to CIF Toronto port.

Is that even possible? Wouldn't sea freight have to go to British Columbia and then transported to me via truck to Ontario?

I would clarify it with them if they are sure of this, unless there is a remote possibility they arrange to ship it in bond across Canada, but I would doubt it.
