I am trying to produce graphite molds, of pretty small size, so I want a router that's accurate, with automatic tool changer, and to keep cost down, no bigger than necessary... I was thinking 30 cm by 40 cm, or even half that is probably ok...
I am having the same problem I always do when I go to buy diverging, there are endless me too products, each of which probably took significant work for some group of people to design and put in production, and they are all, uh, not very good.
I have used Notre than seven different machines, and the atc really is needed for my application, because a single program could have a neck of a lot of tool changes to get the accuracy, increased tool life, shorter job times, milling fine details, etc.
Any hot tips? Or a small, I.e. 200 watt range spindle with automatic tool change provisions. The tool magazines and programming pic the tool change macros I can do. I will be using a desktop with emc2.
