Affordable Yaskawa service or change servo amp type? VM17 Cent VI

We have Yaskawa SGDB-10ADG drives in our Partner VM17 mills.

Is there an affordable & reputable repair service for these drive amps? I had one repaired by Yaskawa a few years ago, and I think it ran $1000-$1200, that was their flat fee at the time.

One amp is flaking out, and we have a problem with something in the loop on another axis encoder/encoder cable issue or possibly amp. I can see there's an option in the system to use non-Yaskawa servos but I don't recall there's any info in the manual on how to switch. I'm curious if there's a viable switch to other system that's less onerous.

No you can't use a different servo motor, sometimes you can find these drives and motors on Ebay for good prices like this looks like a repair service and exchange so they may be able to help

Stick a sigma 2 yaskawa drive and motor in it. At least then if the drive fails later you can do either a sigma 2 or 5 for a replacement. You can probably find the pair for under a G on eBay.
