    Controller Upgrade?

Hey guys, I have an older LagunMatic 310 with a Bendix Dynapath system 10 controller. The screen is really hard to read with all the glitching happening so I want to switch the controller over to a PC using Mach3. Is it possible to hook the PC directly to my existing West amp drivers model 30059? I have all the pinout info for the drivers ( which I found in a different post on here). Would I have to use a breakout board? I'm fairly new to this stuff so any info would be great!

    Thanks,

The Westamp's are 10vdc analogue input, so if you want to reuse them, something like EMC or Dynomotion.

So which board would you get from Dynomotion? This may sound dumb because i'm really new to this stuff but thanks for helping me. Would i be able to then connect my PC to this board and then redo the wiring from the drivers to the board?

    Thanks,

Which ever system you chose, it is not a down and dirty task.
In the case of Dynomotion you would need the Kanalog add on, and some programming experience.
More money, but there is also Camsoft for a probally quicker integration?

So if you use Dynomotion then you would need the Kflop board and the Kanalog board together correct? That would then allow me to connect the PC with Mach3 controller software to the existing Westamp drivers? This is the first bigger cnc machine I've owned. I've only had little hobby machines before this which used stepper motors so that's why I'm new to the servo motors and drivers scene.

Might want to take a look at the CSMIO/IP-A from CS-Lab.
I have used the CSMIO/IP-A and it is an excellent controller.
Other option for Mach is the DSPMC from Vital Systems.

    Thanks Rich
