Hello
I have the a BOB for mach 3. In the manual there is nothing about the spindel direction. It is a 5 axis board. I need just 4 (X,Y,Z,A). Is it possible to use a pin for the 5 axis?

unless you add another relay to the breakout board
for example
this is a dual relay that you could add ,
Attachment 405446
the 2 relay board could be controlled by the "step" or "direction"
outputs from an axis not being used to control a stepper motor
alternatively a single add on relay could be controlled by pin 16
the breakout boards onboard relay only provides on/off control of the spindle
the analogue 0 to 10V DC output being used for speed control
Attachment 405448
what type of spindle speed control do you need to control ???
most VFD manuals show how they can be controlled by 2 switches -
one for forward and another for reverse
the switches can be replaced by two relays for CNC control

Hi,
do you have any left-hand cutting tools?
When I started I thought I needed a bi-directional spindle but then never used it. I do have three lefthand drills for trying to get out broken bolts and things
but I never use them in the mill.

Thanks a lot John. I have a syil with a smoked spindel controler. I don't get any spare parts from syil. I have a infranor servo controler and servor motor. That runs with a signal cc aud cl. For the speed I need 0-10V. The BOB is ok for that. I was not shure if I could use a output of a axis which I do not use.
