    60 watt engraver- opinons?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-60-Watt-Lase...QQcmdZViewItem
Been looking to buy a laser engraver specifically for cutting 1/2" acrylic.
I have been told 40 watts is not strong enough so I was looking and found this on ebay.

    A few questions.
    Why is this so cheap?
Is there a difference between stuff from Hong Kong and the USA. The guys feedback shows he is selling lots of these and everyone is happy.

Also, im interested in finding out how some laser suppliers state their laser machines can cut 3d? I understand it has to do with the software interpreting shades of gray into differnt speeds or power settings the laser out puts, but is this simply a software feature or is it in the mechanics of the laser it self.

Any one who has a laser that can cut 3d objects into acrylic please chime in.

    Rob

    Hello Rob,

If you think that is cheap check out the manufactuer of this machine www.wklaser.com , i have three of theres and the last being this one, service is good from them and i payed 2000 usd although its just risen to 2500 usd and i had it flown in to Australia for 500 usd on a ship its around 80 usd.

I make it you can buy two for the price of one but would look to buy their top machine for only 4500 usd.

If you check posts on this site you will see that he is helping where others who sell his lasers arnt.

Good luck with what you decide on

I used babelfish to translate the website.
Is the LG500 the one you got for $2000?
    Was it 60 watt?
What is the table size. It looks exactly like the one on ebay.

I bought the Rabbit HX6090se. Read my link http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35501 to get an idea of my experience. Been happy with the choice and the price. Their site is www.hxlaser.com
