    Stainless Steel Shafting- bear material

I could use some input on what type of stainless steel to use for a couple shafts.
It should machine and thread nicely.
Low speed application with light loading.
It’s for a couple of telescope mounts.

1.5” dia by 14” long, maybe 200# load

    Thanks!

I would use 303, much nicer to machine than 304 or 316
