A axis dies when linked to slave with my Y axis

My A axis stops working when I config to slave it to the Y axis.
It works fine and jogs when its independent , I slave the axis to Y and reboot and its dead, remove the slave config reboot and its fine again. I have toggled all the active hi and low settings for the A axis in motor and inputs signals in every combination I can think of with no luck. I have turned rotary to liner movement on and off.
I am using mach3 version r3.043.062 sugested by warp9 for my smoothstepper.
How do I get it to move with the Y axis

Re: A axis dies when linked to slave with my Y axis

That “Ahh Haa moment” I figured out that I was expecting the A axis DRO to move in unison with the Y axis DRO when I slaved them together. When I said the motor went dead I should have said the DRO went dead. I was bench testing and had just one motor hooked up to the Y axis and was looking for the “A” DRO to follow when slaved. Now I know the Y DRO reads for both Y and A. and the A DRO stops and holds at 0.00
