Hi fellow machinist’s,
I have new to me both the Prolight 3000 lathe with the auto tool change turret and a Prolight 1000 milling machine. I am still running the original PC’s with Windows 98, the original Prolight software, the PC interface cards and the black Prolight controller boxes.
I think one of my two PC interface cards is bad. I get “INTERFACE CARD FAILURE ERROR 1000” when trying to run a machine program with one of the two systems. The other system runs and functions as it should.
I can run either the Prolight 3000 lathe or the Prolight 1000 milling machine by swapping the PC interface card from one PC to the other. I have swapped black controller boxes and this does not make a difference. I still get the “INTERFACE CARD FAILURE ERROR 1000”.
The LOADING PROGRAMS and “VERIFY” (cutting simulation) portion of the software is still working on both systems. Both INTREFACE CARDS look the same and have the same Light machines Corp markings and Rev 5 markings.
Is there a way to check the function for a non-working PC INTERFACE CARD or a suggestion of what to replace the PC interface card in the with?
Thanks
