We are in an inter-glacial period of an ice age right now. Many folks incorrectly think an "ice age" means what geologists call a glaciation.

Whose to say that the earths natural state is to have ice caps ? The brief time we have been on the earth ( And the equally brief time we have been " messing it up" ) is but an geological instant. The earth will do what it needs to to cope. and if that means mass extinction of the human race that is what will happen whether we like it or not. We are nothing more than passengers on this ball with limited control over it`s function. The biggest problem by far is that there are just too many people.
