Trouble importing DXF files from autocad to Mach2

I am generating 2D drawings using autoCad 2004, and saving the file as '.DXF'. Using Mach2Mill, I import the DXF drawing and generate the Gcode. The display (in Mach2) shows the drawn item correctly if it is a square, or a circle. The milled item (square or circle) is correct. If I draw an object such as a semi-circle with a straight line joining the ends of the semi-cicle, the graphic shown in Mach2 is incorrect and the milled shape is completely wrong. Within autoCAd 2004, there are 3 versions of DXF file that the drawing can be saved as, and I have tried all 3 with the same result. Thanks for any help.

Try View>Load screens and choose 1024.set when the file dialog opens. If the menu's are in French, View is the 4th menu from the left and Loas=d Screens is the first menu item.
