Attached is a photo with a few buttons circled. Does anybody know what they do?

No takers on this one?
The bottom button apparently cuts the operator's finger off.
I think MFI is the MDI manual data input. (Manual File Input)?
The OT is overtravel overide, to allow move off of OT switch..?
The I/O is could be display ladder.
Just a guess.

Is it really wise to be using the machine without knowing a bit more about it? It could get expensive and/or painful if you press the wrong button. How about telling us what make of machine and what controller?
Seems I was close on MFI, Machine File Input via RS232 etc.

...USB drive... Machine From Input ?
So, i stumbled across this manual for my controller by accident today. So stoked!!! https://www.cnczone.com/forums/machi...t-imac-tp.html
Anyways, it appears the functions of some of these buttons are (as correctly spotted by some people)
- Over Travel Release
- Auxiliary Key (MF1)
- Still don't know what the other one does. Maybe related to tape or disk IO.
For future reference... I purchased a manual for the machine. Here is what the buttons do:
- The key shared with F/E is screen on/off. Press it in combination with MF1 to turn the screen on and off. It will light up when the screen is off
- MF1 is the 'auxiliary key'. It has multiple functions. Hold it down in combination with MST Lock, Machine Lock, Dry run menu items to activate them. Also used in combination with print button and screen on/off.
- OT. Release. Hold this button down to release an over travel error. Seems this should only ever occur if you go too far in the wrong direction when homing the machine and hit the end of travel.
