Multicam - wanting to move Z before machine is homed

I have a multicam water jet. Hope these are simular to the router control. I can not home the machine. the z is behind the switch. I need to drop the z before i can home. I think i need to get to maintenace mode. first? there is a trick to this if any one knows. then i need to bypass home routine so i can move axis. any hints would be appreciated.

Re: Multicam - wanting to move Z before machine is homed

    Hit your shift key 1st
    Then you Z up
Then hold the Z down key
After a few seconds a E will show up and the screen will tell you the limits are overridden, you should be able to move your axis around now...
