    What battery?

    Hi all
I have a electronic memory board (sinumerik 850m CNC machine) that don't have battery and capacitor and I don't have any information about the battery and capacitor but fortunately I found a picture in the internet from this board with battery and capacitor but he quality of photo is low
Would you please look at the picture (attached picture) and let me know if you know any informations about the battery and capacitor?

    Please help me to know

    Re: What battery?

the sinumerik 850m CNC machine is not a machine I have worked on

it could be a tagged version coin cell like a CR2032

    pdf cr2032 data
    Attachment 416434

    tagged CR2032

if it was a CR2032 the 20 is the diameter in mm and the 32 is the thicknes in mm (3.2) without the decimal point

to give you 20mm dia x 3.2 mm thick

does that look correct when looking at the space on the PCB ?

It is possible the battery is a rechargeable battery like the VL2330 that has the tags to be soldered to a PCB

going by the photo in post 1

the EVE ER32L100 looks closer to the original
    pdf data
    ER32L100 data.pdf

    Attachment 416444

in the past the only memory backup ni cad batteries I have sceen looked like this

    Attachment 416446

    https://cpc.farnell.com/gp-batteries...-6v/dp/BT01325

    note-
to use a nicad or rechargeable lithium battery the memory card will have to incorporate a charging circuit

primary cells like the EVE ER32L100 must not be recharged

    Hi again
    Sorry for replay again.
I found another picture that have better qaulity (please see attached picture).

    https://picclick.com/Siemens-Sinumerik-Memory-Card-6FX1818-0BX01-570-262-900101-173262421094.html

Yes, you are right and it is a nonrechargeable battery.

    Tadiran 3.6V litioum - inorganic battery - TL 5134

Yes, Mr John: the space on the memory board for this batter is 32mm diameter with 10mm height.

But would you please let me about the thing that I indicate in the second picture?
Would you please let me know more about it with detail information?
I am not an electronic engineer(sorry for simple question).
    I need your help.

    Thank you for your time.

    Re: What battery?

it looks like a transistor in a TO-5 size encapsulation

if it is an NPN transistor its possible its a BFY50 or something similar

its a pity you can not read the part number in the photo
